The Oshawa Public Libraries collects a variety of materials which help us preserve Oshawa's history, and help library visitors research its past.

The Local History Room is presently closed to the public in the interest of public health and safety considerations.

Library users who want to explore the history of Oshawa in images may be interested in Pictorial Oshawa Revisited. The book, which includes updated descriptions of the photographs, as well as 18 new never-before-seen images, is available for $45 at the McLaughlin and Northview branches; copies can be sent to Jess Hann and the Delpark Homes Centre.
