Remembrance Day is approaching. In recognition of this important Canadian holiday, Oshawa Public Libraries will be hosting a collection of programmes commemorating Canada’s, as well as Oshawa’s own, military past. On Wednesday, November 7th, 6:30pm at McLaughlin Branch, Remembering Oshawa’s Fallen Heroes will tell us about the soldiers who are memorialised on the cenotaph of Oshawa’s Memorial Park. And on Thursday, November 8th, 6:30pm at Jess Hann Branch, Soldiers in the Family will teach us how we can research our families’ military histories. We hope to see you there.
