In celebration of The Hobbit’s 75th anniversary, the Oshawa Public Libraries are hosting a Tolkien Festival that runs from November 15 to December 17. On November 15th, Professor Randall, from the University of Waterloo, opened the festival with 75 years of Tolkien and The Hobbit, discussing how the book came to be written, themes, characters and the enduring appeal of Tolkien’s works. The winners of the Hobbit Illustration Contest were also announced. We hope to see you at one of our Tolkien themed events, this November and December. May the Light of Earendil guide you to this event.
