The Oshawa Public Libraries hold a variety of resources useful to those researching their family history or the history of the local area.
Need help?
To submit a research question, please contact Jennifer Green, Genealogy and Local History Librarian, at jgreen@oshawalibrary.on.ca.
Please note: Due to the renovation at the McLaughlin Branch this summer, only the microfilms of the local Oshawa newspapers will be available for use. The Toronto Star is available through the Toronto Star – Pages of the Past database, and The Globe and Mail is available on the CPI.Q: Canadian Periodical Index at our research stations. Other newspapers may be ordered through our interlibrary loan service.
If you have any questions, please speak to someone at the Information Desk. We appreciate your understanding.
