Historical County Atlases
Between 1874 and 1881, 32 county atlases were produced for Ontario. Each of the county atlases consists of a historical text, township and town maps, portraits, views, and directory/business cards. But more important, names of residents were marked on the lots of the township maps in these county atlases.
The McLaughlin Library carries the following county atlases in the Reference collection:

We carry a wide range of historical maps for the town and city of Oshawa and surrounding communities. These are housed in the Local History Collection at the McLaughlin Branch Library.
